Softball Recap: Yonkers Comes Up Short

Yonkers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hastings Yellow Jackets.

Mya Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Leila Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Yonkers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Yonkers will square off against Byram Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hastings does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
