Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Prep Academy Griffins vs. Lincoln Prep Lightning

The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins will take on the Lincoln Prep Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Glendale Prep Academy ended up a good deal behind North Valley Christian Academy and lost 68-53.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-33 loss at the hands of Pima. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Roughriders are ranked 71st).

Lincoln Prep now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Glendale Prep Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

Glendale Prep Academy skirted past Lincoln Prep 49-47 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Will Glendale Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Lincoln Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
