Baseball Recap: Karns Comes Up Short

After flying high against Campbell County on Wednesday, Karns came back down to earth. The Beavers came up short against the Bearden Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 last Friday.

Karns has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season. As for Bearden, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-5.

Karns has already played their next match, an 11-7 win against Union County on the 19th. As for Bearden, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 victory against Grace Christian Academy on the 18th.
