Basketball Recap: Crest Ridge Skates Past Sherwood with Ease

Crest Ridge came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sherwood Marksmen 62-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Crest Ridge has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Sherwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Crest Ridge Cougars take on the Orrick Bearcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherwood, they will square off against Butler at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
