Recap: Village Vikings vs. Incarnate Word Academy Falcons
The Village Vikings stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Incarnate Word Academy on the road to the tune of 56-24. With Village ahead 40-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Mila Rossini continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Cyra Narahari was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Village and bumps their season record up to 18-7. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
Village will look to defend their home court on Friday against Incarnate Word at 6:00 p.m. Incarnate Word will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 783rd, while Village is ranked 276th). As for Incarnate Word Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Concordia Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Concordia Lutheran's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Incarnate Word Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
