It was a good run, but Albertville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Guntersville Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Monday.

Albertville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-23.

Guntersville can attribute much of their success to Caroline Canady, who had 14 digs and six assists. That's the most assists Canady has posted over her last 18 contests.

Albertville's loss dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Guntersville, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 41-4.

Albertville has already played their next matchup (against Southside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Guntersville, they will take on Arab at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
