Volleyball Recap: LaGrange Comes Up Short

LaGrange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockmart Yellowjackets. If the Grangers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

LaGrange may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 21 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Leading Rockmart to victory were Avery King and Makayla Plemons. King had four assists and three aces, while Plemons had six digs. Briley Malone also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

LaGrange's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rockmart, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

LaGrange has already played their next match (against Bremen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Rockmart, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Haralson County on the 23rd.
