Softball Game Preview: David Anderson Blue Devils vs. Wellsville Tigers

For the second straight game, David Anderson will face off against Wellsville. The Blue Devils will square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering David Anderson has lost three straight at home and Wellsville five straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

David Anderson was handed a 15-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Wellsville 11-9. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Kamryn Peruchetti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and four unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brooklyn Dailey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Pickens, who got on base in two of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Wellsville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for David Anderson, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
