Preview: Troy Trojans vs. Xenia Buccaneers
The Troy Trojans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Xenia Buccaneers at 7:15 p.m. Troy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Troy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-34 loss to Butler.
Xenia posted their biggest victory since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 66-46 margin over Greenville. The win was just what Xenia needed coming off of a 51-30 loss in their prior contest.
Troy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Xenia, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
Troy beat Xenia 56-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Troy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Xenia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
