Baseball Recap: Christ Prep Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Bishop Ward

Christ Prep Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 11-8 to the Bishop Ward Cyclones on Friday.

Christ Prep Academy got a good showing from Garrett Ford, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Luke Neland and Joshua Eddy did some serious damage despite the final result: Neland went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs, while Eddy went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Elder, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Christ Prep Academy beat Bishop Ward by a score of 6-2 later that day.
