It was a good run, but Farmington unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Morton Potters by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Farmers of the 10-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Farmington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Morton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.

Farmington will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Peoria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for Morton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Richwoods on the 28th.
