Softball Recap: Pioneer Valley Regional Takes a Loss

Pioneer Valley Regional lost against Franklin County Tech back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 22-11 to the Eagles.

Taylor Chase made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Layla Goulston, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Pioneer Valley Regional's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Franklin County Tech, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pioneer Valley Regional will challenge Northampton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin County Tech, they will take on Hopkins Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
