Hackleburg is a perfect 10-0 against Shoals Christian since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will welcome the Flame at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Hackleburg blew past Phillips, posting a 49-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won seven in a row.

A big part of Hackleburg's win came down to the chemistry between Maddox Vickery and his top target Daughtry Gober. Vickery gained 9 total yards while Gober rushed for 44 yards and one score. Vickery also punched in a rushing touchdown, marking his first of the season.

Hackleburg didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Phillips to a completion percentage of just 40.9%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 25%.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shoals Christian). They blew past Cherokee 48-26 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Flame considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Shoals Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hackleburg, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Hackleburg against Shoals Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-10 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Flame have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
