Harper strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Blanco Panthers by a score of 46-35. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Panthers are ranked 1122nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Blanco's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kinley Boyd, who posted 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caroline Seymour, who put up five points along with five boards and three steals.

Harper's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Blanco, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Harper will be home for the holidays to greet Junction at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blanco, they and Goldthwaite will face off at 8:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
