Softball Recap: Rigby Comes Up Short

Rigby lost against Thunder Ridge back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell 9-4 to the Titans. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Traylee Reid put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Reid wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addison Cox, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double.

Rigby's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Thunder Ridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Titans beat Rigby by a score of 14-3 later that day.
