After having lost a blowout in their previous game against White County Central, Midland was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks 3-1. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warhawks, too.

Midland's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Jefford, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Jefford is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Midland's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Midland will welcome Calico Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, they will venture away from home to take on Lisa Academy North at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.
