The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Brunswick, who took down 192nd ranked North Brunswick, 14-0. Kevin Hemmings ran for 95 yards in the win.

Akeer Franklin of Monroe Township ran for the longest rushing play in Greater Middlesex - Red this season against Woodbridge last week. Franklin ran for 65 yards on the play and finished with 153 on the day as his team defeated the Barrons.

Stephen Karoly threw for 130 yards and three touchdowns. He was 11-17 with three interceptions.

TJ Taylor was the best wideout in the league this week as South Brunswick beat Old Bridge. Taylor racked up five receptions for 137 yards. Dontae Strickland helped South Brunswick's passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.

T.J. Perkowski provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Vikings bested the Knights. He completed 10 passes for 179 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 51 yards.

South Brunswick's Perkowski and Taylor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Perkowski has thrown for 417 yards this season, while Taylor, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 10 catches for 271 yards. Monroe Township's Franklin leads the league in rushing yards with 321.

A big matchup in Greater Middlesex - Red this week will be when J.P. Stevens takes on Sayreville. As it stands, the Hawks are in fifth, while the Bombers are in second.

East Brunswick moved up to 200 from 277 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of a 14-0 win over the Raiders.
