Jackson Steel Sage Drops League-Best Effort on Friday

Starting off the list is Anderson's Jackson Steel Sage, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Steel Sage rushed for 53 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

For the season, Steel Sage has thrown 12 touchdowns (and and only 2 pick) while averaging 155.7 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to eight.

Ashton Rooney Goes Supernova in Trenton Win

Ashton Rooney continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his tenth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 116 rushing yards. He rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The win was the fifth in a row for Trenton, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Rooney and Trenton will face off against Chelsea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Joe Krolak Turns in Another Game with at Least 123 Rushing Yards

Joe Krolak continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 123 rushing yards. He rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.7).

For the year, Krolak has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 134.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 65 rushing yards per game.

Izaiah Wright Makes It Two for Carlson

Keeping Krolak company is Izaiah Wright, a fellow Carlson player. He rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 69 yards.

For the season, Wright has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 82 rushing yards per game.

Michael Collins Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Michael Collins of Allen Park. Collins forced a fumble and made 20 total tackles.

Allen Park moved to 6-1 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak. Collins and Allen Park will square off against Carlson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
