Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Heritage Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past the Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Heroes: when they faced off against the Dust Devils last Thursday, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaias Ruiz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Danny Bautista Navarrete also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Heritage Academy picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-6-1. As for Santa Cruz Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

Heritage Academy has already played their next matchup, a 7-4 defeat against Gilbert Classical Academy on the 11th. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-2 loss against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 14th.
