Softball Recap: California Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

California has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Foothill Falcons 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their two-run performance the game before.

Hailey King was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Golde, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

California's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Foothill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8-1.

As of now, neither California nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
