Softball Recap: Grayslake North Comes Up Short

Grayslake North and Carmel squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Grayslake North had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Corsairs by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Corsairs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-7 back in May.

Brena Dalton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kendall Joy, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Grayslake North's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Carmel, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-9.

As of now, neither Grayslake North nor the Corsairs have any future games scheduled.
