Football Recap: Jordan Lindo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Charlotte Christian

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Charlotte Christian Knights by a score of 41-28. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Lindo, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another receiver making a difference was Joshua Buckhalter, who picked up 64 receiving yards and two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's defense stepped up as well, laying out Elliott Newcomb three times. In that department, Segun Alexander was the leader with two sacks. He is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another thorn in Charlotte Christian's side was Praise Chane, who picked up a sack, made seven total tackles, and defended two passes.

When it comes to explaining why Charlotte Christian lost, don't look at Tate Estep. Despite the final result, he picked up 139 receiving yards and one score.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Charlotte Christian, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will face off against Christ School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Greenies at the right time seeing as the Greenies are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Charlotte Christian, they will square off against Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buccaneers' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
