Baseball Game Preview: Whittier Christian Heralds vs. Village Christian Crusaders

For the second straight game, Whittier Christian will face off against Village Christian. The Heralds will head out to challenge the Crusaders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Whittier Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Whittier Christian got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Village Christian, sneaking past 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Heralds in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won six in a row.

Terry Han looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zion Park, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Eli Echavarria was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Village Christian is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 4.6 runs. As for Whittier Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
