Soccer Recap: Colonial Forge Takes a Loss

Colonial Forge was the 2-1 winner over North Stafford when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wolverines who were credited with the victory on Thursday. The North Stafford Wolverines got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the Colonial Forge Eagles' six. Colonial Forge fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against North Stafford since on Thursday.

Colonial Forge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-4. As for North Stafford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9-3.

Colonial Forge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Stafford, they will face off against Massaponax at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Massaponax will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North Stafford surely won't give up without a fight.
