Basketball Recap: Galion Comes Up Short

Galion lost against Highland back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Galion Tigers received a blow as they fell 46-32 to the Highland Fighting Scots. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubree Bellamy led the charge by putting up 11 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Kate Clements, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 14 points.

Galion's record is now 3-15. As for Highland, they moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Galion will welcome Pleasant at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland has already played their next match, a 63-37 loss against River Valley on the 25th.
