After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mascoutah, Mater Dei was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Breese Central Cougars out 5-4. This was payback for Mater Dei, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Gabe Schlimme was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.
