Football Recap: Ballinger Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy last Friday, Ballinger came back down to earth. The Bearcats received a blow on Friday as they fell 36-19 to the Brady Bulldogs. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Brady was led to victory by Sean Jacoby and Ashton Taylor. Jacoby threw for 134 yards and four touchdowns, while Taylor gained 196 total yards and a touchdown. Those four passing touchdowns gave Jacoby a new career-high. Rylan Pedigo was in the mix too, providing Brady with two TDs.

Ballinger's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Brady, their record is now 3-1.

Looking ahead, Ballinger will face off against Stanton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brady, they will challenge Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.25 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
