Basketball Recap: Boone Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boone's last matchup with Oak Ridge could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Braves were outmatched by the Pioneers and fell 63-36. The Braves have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Boone saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Fanneciah Robinson went 8-for-16 on her way to 21 points and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Robinson. Naima Durandisse was another key player, putting up six points and 13 boards.

Sarah Jean produced another solid performance almost dropping a triple-double with 26 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals for Oak Ridge. The contest was Jean's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Oxendine, who posted 11 points and seven assists.

Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Oak Ridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Boone will take on Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oak Ridge, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Winter Park at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
