Baseball Recap: Gonzaga Prep Comes Up Short

If Gonzaga Prep was riding high fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Lewis & Clark on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bullpups fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Bullpups were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Gonzaga Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Mott, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Jack Pierce, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Gonzaga Prep's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Lewis & Clark, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.
