Softball Recap: Greenwood's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Greenwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Seminole Indians by a score of 10-8. Even though they lost, the Rangers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Brylee Savage made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Lexi Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Greenwood's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13-1. As for Seminole, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Greenwood will face off against rival Monahans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Seminole is set to take on their familiar foe Andrews at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
