Volleyball Recap: Nauset Regional Starts Season with Victory at Home

Nauset Regional gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Sturgis East Storm by a score of 3-1. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Storm walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Nauset Regional had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.

Nauset Regional found their leader in freshman AJ Davis, who had five digs and five aces.

Nauset Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Nauset Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Sturgis West on the 5th. As for Sturgis East, they will welcome Cape Cod RVT at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
