Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Takes a Loss

Patrick Henry lost against Lord Botetourt back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patrick Henry Patriots fell 44-31 to the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Cavaliers are ranked fifth).

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lord Botetourt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Christiansburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Patrick Henry is facing Christiansburg at the right time seeing as Christiansburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lord Botetourt, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
