Soccer Recap: Clovis East Comes Up Short

Clovis East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Timberwolves have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Noah Naranjo, who's now up to nine this season.

Clovis East's record is now 4-8-1. As for Central, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 5-8-4.

Clovis East and Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Clovis East (ranked 496th) will meet Buchanan (ranked 32nd) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Central will challenge Clovis at 4:00 p.m. on Friday down 319 places (370 vs. 51).
