Marshall has gone 8-1-1 against Taft recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Marshall Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Taft Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Marshall will be strutting in after a win while Taft will be coming in after a loss.

Marshall's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Stevens with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Meanwhile, Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to O'Connor. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while the Panthers are ranked 172nd).

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Marshall, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Marshall beat Taft 3-1 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marshall since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
