Basketball Recap: Rogue River Comes Up Short

Rogue River won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against the Lakeview Honkers, falling 52-19. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Honkers are ranked 98th).

Rogue River has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Lakeview, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rogue River will venture away from home to take on Cascade Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeview, they will square off against St. Mary's at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th.
