Softball Recap: Limestone Takes a Loss

Limestone was the 3-2 winner over Bloomington Central Catholic when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Saints, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

AVERIE ALLISON was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was AUTUMN MEYERS, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Limestone will welcome Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Little Giants have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Paxton-Buckley-Loda at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
