Basketball Game Preview: Quanah Indians vs. Wheeler Mustangs

Quanah and Wheeler are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Quanah Indians will challenge the Wheeler Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Wheeler took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Quanah, who comes in off a win.

Quanah took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 61-60 win over Panhandle. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Wheeler suffered their biggest loss since February 9, 2024 two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Panhandle and fell 69-37. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wheeler now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Quanah, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Quanah came up short against Wheeler when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 50-41. Can Quanah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
