The Spruce Mountain Phoenix suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 78-38 loss at the hands of Oceanside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Spruce Mountain has scored all season.

Oceanside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Galley, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Galley is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cohen Galley, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Spruce Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Oceanside, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spruce Mountain will take on Telstar at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Telstar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Spruce Mountain is ranked 34th). As for Oceanside, they will be playing at home against Belfast at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Belfast is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
