Softball Recap: Milton-Union Takes a Loss

Milton-Union fell victim to Miami East and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Milton-Union's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Miami East, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Coming up, Milton-Union will face off against Northridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miami East, they will challenge Bethel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bees have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
