Softball Recap: Strafford Find Success

The matchup between Strafford and Plato on Thursday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Indians walked away with a 16-12 win over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Dalyce Scrivener was incredible, firing off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those nine RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Rhodes, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Strafford's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Plato, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strafford will square off against Marionville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Plato, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Seymour at 4:30 p.m.
