Basketball Game Preview: Cheraw Wolverines vs. Peetz Bulldogs

Peetz will be up against a hot Cheraw squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Cheraw blew past Walsh 47-23 on Saturday. The Wolverines pushed the score to 36-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

Cheraw's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Reece, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Those 13 points gave Reece a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Herman, who posted nine points and four steals.

Cheraw smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Peetz got the win against Lone Star on Saturday by a conclusive 67-41. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Cheraw better keep an eye on Connor Schumacher. He was instrumental in Peetz's win, shooting 48% from the field on his way to 22 points along with eight boards and four steals. Schumacher is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Dylan Wagner was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 13 rebounds and six assists.

Cheraw's record now sits at 13-9. As for Peetz, their record now sits at 17-6.
