Basketball Game Preview: Cathedral Academy Generals vs. Dorchester Academy Raiders

The Cathedral Academy Generals will head out on the road to take on the Dorchester Academy Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cathedral Academy will be strutting in after a win while Dorchester Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Cathedral Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Charleston Collegiate on Friday, sneaking past 49-46.

Cathedral Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raven Williams, who posted 19 points. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Jackson, who had 18 points.

Meanwhile, Dorchester Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against Palmetto Christian Academy, falling 67-38. The Raiders were down 60-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Dorchester Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Cathedral Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-17 record this season.

Cathedral Academy lost to Dorchester Academy on the road by a decisive 44-28 margin when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can Cathedral Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
