Recap: Glencliff Colts vs. Pickett County Bobcats
On Thursday, Glencliff came up short against Pickett County and fell 64-54. While losing is never fun, Glencliff can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Pickett County is ranked 93rd).
Pickett County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Amonett out in front who scored 20 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gage Harris, who scored 14 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Glencliff and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Pickett County, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Glencliff will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Pearl-Cohn at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pickett County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Stewarts Creek at 12:15 p.m. on December 22nd.
