The Kennard-Dale Rams will head out on the road to challenge the West York Area Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Kennard-Dale will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Kennard-Dale came out on top against Dover on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Rams' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 10-0 shutout. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Taryn Ashenfelter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Maddie Argiro was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Taylor Rinaudo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Kennard-Dale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, West York Area came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Spring Grove on Friday.
Not much got past Maddie McGlynn, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Spring Grove off the board.
At the plate, West York Area let Addison Skimski and Kayleigh Becker run wild. Skimski went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Becker went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Kennard-Dale's record is now 14-2. As for West York Area, their record now sits at 6-12.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kennard-Dale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like West York Area struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Kennard-Dale's way against West York Area in their previous matchup on April 2nd, as Kennard-Dale made off with an 8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
