The Tocoi Creek Toros are taking a road trip to square off against the Beachside Barracudas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tocoi Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 31.6 points per game this season.

Tocoi Creek is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Bartram Trail on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Toros were beaten by the Bears 56-21. The Toros were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Bryton Baker, who picked up 52 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Beachside entered their tilt with Bishop Kenny two weeks ago with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 35-31 W against the Crusaders.

Tocoi Creek's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Beachside, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Tocoi Creek couldn't quite finish off Beachside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 29-26. Can the Toros avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
