Volleyball Recap: Big Rapids Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Big Rapids faced off against Newaygo on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Lions. The Cardinals have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Big Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 8-21-1. As for Newaygo, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-13 record this season.

Big Rapids will face off against Mason County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newaygo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
