Volleyball Recap: Aidan Aguayo and Sean Gagen Secure Win for Andrew

Andrew saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Elgin Maroons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbolts.

Andrew was led to victory by Sean Gagen and Aidan Aguayo. Gagen had three digs and two aces, while Aguayo had 11 assists and three digs. That's the most aces Gagen has posted over his last 17 matchups. Brian Johnson also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Andrew's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Elgin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Andrew wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Romeoville on the 19th. As for Elgin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Buffalo Grove on the 19th.
