Football Recap: Cedar Bluffs Comes Up Short

After soaring to 48 points the game before, Cedar Bluffs was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by the Weeping Water Indians and fell 36-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

It was another big night for Tucker Bickford, who rushed for 140 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 80 yards and three TDs for Weeping Water. That's the most rushing yards Bickford has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Harms, who picked up 29 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Cedar Bluffs now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Weeping Water, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Bluffs will welcome Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Weeping Water, they will be playing at home against Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
