Volleyball Recap: Kimberly's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Kimberly waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Appleton West Terrors by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Papermakers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Kimberly walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20.

Ian Van Hammond was the offensive standout of the game as he had 14 digs and four assists. Those 14 digs gave him a new career-high. Jacob Fiedorowicz was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

Kimberly was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.

Kimberly's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Appleton West, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, Kimberly will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Madison West at 6:30 p.m. As for Appleton West, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kaukauna at 7:00 p.m. on October 7.
