Baseball Recap: St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Takes a Loss

St. John's Northwestern Military Academy extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 7-12 in the process. They came up short against the East Troy Trojans, falling 11-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for East Troy, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

For East Troy's part, Cole Pettijohn made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pettijohn has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted over his last six matches.

In other batting news, Jackson Pluess was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Phillips, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs.

As of now, neither St. John's Northwestern Military Academy nor East Troy have any future games scheduled.
